Cedar Rapids Latino Festival Scholarships

  • 2021 was the 10th anniversary of this Festival
  • Scholarships program had been a desire of the organizers for more than 5 years
  • BIC’s $2K donation was THE catalyst to start this program in 2021
  • Seven students awarded scholarship
  • Major area employers and CR city officials participated in the event

“I am very grateful to be a recipient of the Festival Latino Scholarship as it will be helpful in reducing the financial burden that comes with receiving higher education. This opportunity will definitely help reduce some of my stress and workload as I continue my courses for the semester”
